Since 2025, our small team has created zero-waste celebrations and workshops that teach people how to turn trash into fashion to reduce pollution.
We need your help to bring our events to life.
Are you a professional, a retiree, or an at-home caregiver seeking an opportunity to help build community by contributing to an organization that merges arts and environmental activism? Or are you a grad school, college, or high school student seeking to gain experience that may help you land a job in your desired field?
Trash to Fashion may have the perfect volunteer role for you. Please write to us and tell us why you want to get involved and which type of role interests you and matches your skillset.
Fundraising;
Grant research and writing;
Marketing and promotion,
Social media content: thoroughly researched blog posts, and/or photos and videos;
Administrative assistance;
Event planning;
Event set-up or cleanup;
Day-of event management.

What You’ll Gain
Networking with Trash to Fashion’s incredible volunteer advisory council. Hailing from a variety of professional backgrounds (arts administration, event planning, nonprofit administration, costume design, photography, visual art, writing, entrepreneurism, and social innovation), we are individuals passionate about art, environmental justice, and community building. (Learn more about us here.) We’re excited to collaborate with you!
You’ll also gain mentoring from an experienced event planner, writer, trashionista, and award-winning social entrepreneur. Depending on the role, you may also gain mentoring from an artist-entrepreneur-gallery director.
